Every once in a while you find out someone doesn’t like your child.  At first like any mama bear I saw red & was indignant.

He gets a lot of love, attention & never wants for toys. He also knows that if he cries or complains for something he doesn’t get it at all. He also has to use manners all of the time. He is 3 years old & he has his up’s & down’s but he’s a good kid.

What is it that you do?

When did we become so good at judging each other? I feel like I am constantly having to prove myself & convince people that I DO something.

Say you’re at a wedding, you are introduced to someone new. What do you want to bet in the first 2 questions they ask you “so what is it that you do?”. I dread this question. If I were to answer “I’m a stay at home mom”, unless they are too, there is a look of “so what do you do all day?”. They don’t find it funny when I answer “whatever I want & I don’t even have to wear a bra”.

Let’s Show What Honestly Goes Into Being A Creative

I’m sure you read ” Creatively Honest” & wonder where I’m going with this. I’ve learned the hard way from trying to make everything look perfect in my life, especially on social media, that the weight of that pressure can make you feel like you are drowning among the filters & beautiful things. What do you feel when you look at other women’s Instagram feeds when their lives look like your dreams? I immediately look around my house & wish I was there haha. I am just as guilty too, I try to show only the pretty. You might see a beautiful shot of me knitting with a delicate blanket, it will look dreamy. But I promise you, just out of frame there is my 3 year old son playing with his Rescue Bots or Paw Patrol. I’ve learned to be creatively honest with how I show my life.
